How to Make an Old PC Fast Again

Computers are great for the first few weeks when they are new. They seem to do everything you want, in lightening fast speeds. However, as soon as they get a little bit older, they seem to get slower and slower. This is a huge problem which affects hundreds of millions of PCs all over the globe, but luckily, there's a simple way to make even the oldest PC faster!

You see, there's actually a hidden reason why most PCs run slower with age. It's nothing to do with newer PCs that come out (that's a big myth) - it's all to do with a little-known part of your system called the 'registry'. This is the central database for Windows, where all your system files and settings are stored. It's best described as the 'memory' for your computer, and is where everything from your desktop wallpaper to your Internet favorites are kept.

Because this database contains so many important files, your computer is constantly accessing it. Every time you use your PC, it's adding and updating 100's of registry files. This is okay but it also causes a big problem. When your computer is constantly editing these files, it actually gets confused with many of them and ends up corrupting them. When this happens, Windows actually ends up taking longer to read each file, which slows it down.

Small numbers of corrupt registry files aren't that bad but the reason why this problem makes older PCs run slow is because the problem is amplified with the number of files that are damaged. Because your computer is corrupting more and more of these files every day, it eventually ends up with 1,000's of corrupt registry files, making it run extremely slow. And since the problem just gets worse and worse, the older your PC is, the more corrupt files it has, and the slower it runs.

To fix this problem, and to speed up your PC dramatically, you simply need to use a software tool called a registry cleaner. These have been created specifically for scanning through the registry and cleaning all the bad files that are in there. They are automated, which means that they actually scan every registry file and clean / replace it without you having to do anything. They basically fix all the problems in your registry, allowing your computer to read the files it needs as quickly as possible, making it extremely fast... no matter how old it is.
